We had a few spreadsheets assignments that helped with working with functions. I think I did pretty well, but realized that functions and formulas in Excel are very delicate and even the smallest mistakes can mess up the entire formula. Attention to detail has become even more important for this phase.
During the Excel chapter, we learned many things. Specifically, during 5.7.1 we learned about the differences between relative and absolute references. I have run into the problem in the past where the autofill function has not worked properly... and now I know why! This has been very useful outside of IS101 because I have been able use it at work while calculating damages for clients. I will continue to apply the skills I have learned to my daily work life and future school assignments.
I am excited to move on to Phase 3 and learn more about PowerPoint. I have the least amount of experience with PowerPoint and I think that clearly showed with the rough draft of my slideshow presentation. I always strive to do the best I can and get the highest achievement on an assignment that I can, so I think I will definitely do what is necessary to upgrade my mindset and habits for this next phase.
